Rhizophora mucronata produces pointed spikes that form effective instant seedlings. Equipped with tiny leaves at the top end, they drop off the parent inlo the mud below
and take root al once. Apart from this unusual mode of propagation, Rhizophom mucronata produces conventional seeds as well.
